June 19th - Construction Update

The roadway has started to take shape in the last two weeks. Since the last update all of the remaining underground utilities have been finalized. The roadway has been graded and cement stabilized and gravel has been placed along Willow Street. The sidewalk on the south side of Willow Street has been started and will be finished in the coming weeks. Today the north two lanes of Willow Steet were paved from the existing concrete near Sanford's entrance to just east of Honeysuckle Drive.

In the coming weeks the crews will continue to work on concrete paving, sidewalk, cross walks, and the concrete median. The south two lanes of the roadway are scheduled to be paved late next week. Much of the miscellaneous concrete work is also scheduled to be completed in the coming week.

The roadway will continue to take shape over the next few weeks with plans to have traffic on this phase of work by mid-July at which point the next phase of construction can commence.
