July 10th - Construction Update

This phase of Willow Street construction is nearing completion. The majority of the roadway pavement for this phase has been completed. Since the last update the contractor has completed the south two lanes of pavement, the turning lanes, concrete curb and gutter, miscellaneous concrete for intersections and approaches.

D&G Concrete - Paving on Willow Street

In the coming week the contractor plans to complete the remaining curb and gutter, sidewalk, and start the center median work. Grading work behind the curb will begin and the entire site will start to take shape.

Colored and Stamped Concrete at Cross Walks

In the coming weeks traffic will be moved onto the new pavement from the east end of the project up the Creekside Ave. This will allow for the temporary roadway north of Willow Street to be removed and the remaining grading and concrete work to be completed in that area. Switching the traffic onto Willow Street will also allow the contractor to move into the next phase of construction which will be Willow Street west of Creekside Ave to Minnesota Ave (updated closure maps will be posted in the near future).
